Mom was hitting buttons and now DVD plays Blue and White!

Well one night my mom started to fuss with the Go-Video remote, she started hitting a bunch of buttons, and now the screen plays in blue and white, this is for all my dvd's and the VCR works fine. My regular TV channels are fine too, its just the DVD player. I dont know what she did but I need help. Thx, Boomy

I think your mom changed the DVD output setting. Using the remote, go to the Setup Menu, then select DVD Setup. Scroll down to the Alt Video Out option. It will either be set to "Component", S-Video, or "Off". It needs to be set to the type output you are using to go from your Go Video deck to your TV. If you are using an S-Video cable, then set it to "S-Video", if using Component cables (Red, Blue, and Green cables), then set to "Component". Otherwise it should be set to "Off".

Hope this helps.

My radio will play perfectly on turner but when inserting dvd/cd the radio only plays sound from the four internal speaker and not from the sub

try using your blue/white wire instead of the blue wire to turn your amp on. The blue wire is power antenna remote turn on and shuts off when leaving tuner mode. The blue/white wire is amplifier remote turn on.

I have a Coby dvd 505 home theater system and it's playing dvd's only in black and white Any suggestions?

There are a few possibilities. 1) You have the system on wrong broadcast system. Press the TV.Sys button on the remote. (In the US, you need the NTSC (analog) broadcast for older TVs). If you have lost the original remote, you need a replacement that matches the feature. See for a substitute remote. 2) You have mismatched cables/inputs.

For the second issue, a composite video cable could be connected to a component video input. If both devices have component video, get a component video cable (red, blue and green for the video, separate red/white cable for audio); it isn't included with the player. Otherwise connect to the composite (AV) connections on the TV (yellow for video, red/white for audio).

If needed, you can reset the player as follows:
1) Open the DVD tray.
2) Press the "Setup" button.
3) On the "Down" arrow, press it three times.
4) On the "Right' arrow, press it once.
5) On the "Down" arrow, press it three times
6) On the "Right" arrow, press it once, then press "Play/Sel" button.
7) Press the Setup button to exit.
*The default setting will take affect as soon as you press the setup button (step 6).

I hope this helps.

My Wii Remote Won't turn on!

1) Make sure there are good batteries in it.
2) Make sure that the batteries are in it correctly.

Otherwise, there should be no reason to get no blue light - even not being sync'd properly wouldn't result in no light. May have to fess up to Mom. :X

Try going into player's menu, and set video out or TV type to NTSC.
It might have switched to PAL, or disc is PAL and player is set to any.
