Ue boom connected to pc but is not playing music... if i get lucky i get muffled sounds play back, how do i fix this

Q: What should I do if the audio is distorted or drops out on my UE BOOM?

A: Audio distorted or dropping out when streaming to UE BOOM
If you're having trouble with audio distortion or drop-outs on your UE BOOM, try these suggestions:
  • Move the audio source closer - it might be out of the range of your speaker.
  • Move away from other sources of wireless signal - you could be experiencing interference.
  • Make sure your speaker has enough battery power (connect it to a power source with the supplied adapter).
  • Adjust the volume on both the audio source and your speaker.
  • Restart both your speaker and the audio source.
  • Re-pair your device with your speaker (see, "How do I pair additional Bluetooth® devices with my speaker?").
  • If you're using two UE BOOM speakers (for Double Up), try disconnecting and streaming to one speaker only.
NOTE: If you're streaming audio content from the internet, the issue could be with the internet connection and not your speaker.

No sound on computer and comp can not play music

This issue will occur if the Computer speakers are not to the default Audio Device. Please right click on the Sound icon on the right corner of the Taskbar (System Trey) and select the "Playback Devices". After that, please right click on the "Speaker/Headphones" to set them as the default Audio Device. This should enable the Computer speaker and sound should work correctly.

If the above steps did not resolve the issue, you may need to re-install the Audio Driver in the Computer to resolve the issue. You can download the Audio Driver using the below link.

http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/7ka213ww.exe

Restart the Computer after re-installing the Audio Driver.

This should fix the issue with the sound.

Hope this helps..

Thanks for using Fixya.

Aspire 5515 dvd wont play sound

Does the laptop play CDs?
If so then when you start a DVD and before you play the movie, go into the audio setting and configure the speakers for laptop stereo speakers.
If you cannot hear music from the CD then check :-
1. The audio settings, volume not set to minimum and mute is not ticked (enabled)
2. Device manager - sound device is enabled and working, if not re-install the sound driver.

No sound in media player

The best will be to start by downloading and installing the chipset drivers for your notebook, which can be downloaded from:
http://downloadmirror.intel.com/13799/eng/ChipUtil.exe

Make sure to restart your machine after installing the chipset.

Secondly download the Audio driver(s) from:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36090.exe

Install the driver and follow instructions.

Hope that solves your problem?

External speakers for toshiba laptop problem

Check device manager and make sure the audio drivers are not disabled. If so enabled it. I am quite sure you have checked to see if its muted. If it is enabled and its not working, try updating the drivers or uninstalling and reinstalling latest driver audio driver OEM site.

**If you reinstall the same driver you might get the same error but its what a shot.**

Sound

Windows can only play sound through one device at a time unless you have multiple audio devices, (i.e. USB headphones and onboard soundcard)

Even when you have multiple audio devices, very, very few programs have the ability or need to play the same audio through 2 different devices at the same time.

you can for example though, play winamp through your speakers while playing a vido game in your USB headset. Basically it is possibly to have different audio going the different devices at the same time but it is generally not possible to have the same audio going through different devices at the same time.

Verify the sound device is enabled If there is no sound from the speakers or headset, use the Device Manager to determine the state of the sound hardware.
  1. Click Start , type manager into the search field, and select Device Manager . Alternately, click Start , Control Panel , Hardware and Sound , and then Device Manager .
  2. Double-click Sound, video and game controllers .
  3. Do the following, depending on what is seen:
    • If a sound device is listed with a down arrow , the device is disabled. Right-click the sound device name and select Enable to re-enable the device. Go to the next step if problems continue after enabling the device.
    • If a sound device is listed and enabled , right-click the device name and select Properties to view more helpful troubleshooting information in the Device Status window. If Device Status shows that the device is working properly, the problem is likely related to sound settings, the speakers, or the audio cables and connections.
