Audio system of my laptop is not working. it shows error code 18 when i try to re - install it and shows error code 88780078 when I try to play any track

Hi

Let your computer install the best audio device and detect your sound device.

Right click to MY COMPUTER ICON, choose the Device Manager, then delete all the AUDIO DRIVERS AND DEVICES INSTALLED IN YOUR COMPUTER, then restart your computer.

It will install and configure correctly your sound device and sound driver.

Please rate and make a comment if you find this solution very helpful and might help others as well. Post more comments if you need more help.

Sound and audio dont work on my computer windous xp

You just installed this right? Or if it stopped working that is a differant issue.

If you just installed it XP tries to use one of its drivers for the device. They work for most things but the ones that won;t are usually sound and sometimes network. So the fix is to go to your computer or motherboard website and go to the download pages and get the audio driver for that model of hardware. Run that and you should have noise.

If this stopped working you may have to reload the drivers, or check settings for something that has turned off the volume or muted the output. It is possible the hardware has failed but thats fairly uncommon.
