NUMBER LOCK
You have press the NumLk key (number lock) and this changes the right hand keys to a number pad.
Press the NumLk key (also doubles as the ScrLk key to toggle the Number lock). it is near the F12 function key. When the NumLk has been enabled a LED light is turn on to indicate this function has been selected. Press the NumLk key again to turn off the Number Lock and Num Lock LED indicator.

Your keyboard could be going bad.
One thing to try is go into the device manager and uninstall the keyboard and let the computer find it again on restart.

Just bought a new Windows Vista HP and when I type a letter on yahoo the ''letters are missing in every other words?''


try shutting it down and restarting the computer shut it down for about 5-10 minutes then restart it when u shut it off unplug the keyboard and just before you restart the computer plug in the keyboard

New computer won't type letters.


Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.

Check to see if you have your num lock on...still does not please restart your PC / laptop.

The letters on my keypad some will only type numbers serial #N326171062571 model MX7625 if i hold down the bottom left key of the pad that displays Fn in blue letters then the letters work instead of...


1. Open the on screen keyboard by going to "control panel" then "Ease of Access Center" then click on "onscreen keyboard".

2. click and hold down the "Fn" key on the physical keyboard and then hit F11 on the onscreen Keyboard.

3. All Fixed. Spread the word.

hi there
it sounds like your keyboard is set to a foreign language. if you look at the blue bar at the bottom of your screen on the right you will see a < symbol next to which (to the left) should be 2 letters, this should be EN if not double click the 2 letters then select english u.k. and then delete any other languages. restart your pc.

Keyboard Problems


When your computer is hot especially when you have been using it for a long time (hours) keyboards tend to type wrong. This is due to heating up of circuits causing some small short-circuits. Better cool off your computer for an hour or so.

If it persists, check the fans inside your CPU. These may no longer working that caused heat to build up inside your computer. Fans can be found in your video card, your processor and at the back of your CPU.
