My Saeco Magic De Luxe (actually, an Estro Magic Profi, but I think it's
the same machine) produces espresso that's not as hot as I'd like it to
be. It's more than warm, but certainly not hot. Is there an adjustment
that controls the boiler temperature? Is something out of whack? Any
suggestions would be appreciated.
By the way, I'm also not getting the steam pressure that I'd like from
the frothing arm -- could this be connected?
Thanks!
Roger

Possibly time to use that coffee machine cleaner that smell like lemon... It
should with repeated applications, clear the scale off of your heating
elements and increase their performance, as noted by more steam pressure,
and hotter espresso, though the thermostat should be what controls the water
temp thru the coffee puck. Are you able to preheat the grip prior to making
your shot? That may help. And preheating your cup also. That exhausts my
knowledge.

I agree with Joey above, but there may be a way to increase your temperature. Some magic deluxes came with a resistor on the temp sensor. If yours has that, you can cut it off.
Given that this solution would require you to take the machine apart.
