Question about Apple Mac Mini Desktop
I was ripping a DVD and streaming a football game at the same time and my mini just shut off like I pulled the power cord out. However, I had power running to it and there was no power surge. My original thought was it was a fuse. Help please!
Hi, Sorry you are having problems,
Unfortunately, the MacMini has very poor ventilation due to it's small size. Chances are the Mac just overheated. Did you hear the Fan blowing as hard and as fast as it could?
It's a self preservation thing...
The Mac should boot up properly if you let it cool down, say an hour or so...
If that is not the case, it might have overheated to the point of burning out...
How old is this machine ? If it is still under warranty, Apple will repair it.
Also be sure there is lots of room around the macmini to allow as much airflow as possible.
Well, let us know how it goes..
