Question about Pioneer Televison & Video

I have a pioneer DVR X152. It is writing to DVD fine but the Lightscribe is not working. I have used Nero coverdesigner and also Sure thing labeler. They both say they have completed successfully but when I take the disc out it is blank - no label printed on it. Is there a problem with my driver?

I just bought the Pioneer DVR X152 last week at Bestbuy. So it is new. Also sometimes it will not recognize mylightscribe disc. If I take it out and put it back in it will finally recognize it, says printing, and then complete, but nothing. I have been using LG DVD-R 16x discs.

This is an external drive DVR. All I had to do was plug it in. The only software that came with it was for Nero, so I don't think I can reload it. Also now it will not recognize my disc at all as a lightscribe disc.

It should still be under warranty since you just bought it. Try taking it back and explaining the problem. They will either fi it or replace for you.

Since it wont recognize any disc now, it will be better to try first running a DISC cleaner because this can be a problem with the Lens of the player that maybe dirty and hopefully not damage so after running a DISC cleaner check if it will now recognize a disc and be able to burn again...

How to transfer from dvr to dvd recorder?

A DVD recorder, not connected to a computer, only can record movies.
If you have a DVD reorder connected to your PC, you need software, like NERO, to be able to write all the different codes needed to make a DVD a playable one for movie, audio or just files. (Data)

After you have burned the disc it will require Finalizing.
This is done by the same machine.

DVD shelf won't open

You know you can place a paperclip in the hole next to the DVD drive to release the door. Never just pull on the tray when it is all the way closed. Once the door is part way open you can gently pull it out the rest of the way. This will not fix anything, it just allows you to open the tray once.

Caanot play CD-R/DVD-R burnt from PC

First check that in your user manual that the dvd player is JPEG compatible. When you say you are having the problem on other DVD's do you mean when you use DVD+R and DVD-R disks on your own player or that yu have tried to play the same DVD disk on other brand DVD players without success? You dont mention which software you are using to save your JPEG's to Disk or whether you can in fact view them on your PC. After making sure that your Windows media player displays your pictures ok, Try using the NERO dvd burning Rom programme to load your JPEG's. I am assuming that you are not trying to record a DVD in a CD burning drive? hope this helps - hattonhall
