Question about Computers & Internet

2 Answers

I have A LexMark X9575 all in one printer with supposed automatic double sided printing. It did auto double sided printing for the first few print jobs then it quit and now only allows manual duplexing. I have windows XP Pro. The printer is connected via USB to one of 4 computers on a ETHERNET network. Two of the computers are now with XP SP 3, two are still on XP SP2. How do I get it to auto Duplex? I have tried all kinds of settings and nothing works.

Printing Preferences is the software that controls the printing function when the printer is connected to a computer.

All of the print settings are on the four main Printing Preferences tabs: Print Setup, Advanced, Watermark, and Image Enhancement.

Go to Printers & Faxes, right-click on the printer icon and select Printing Preferences.
Next click the Advance tab and locate and Select 2-Sided Printing.

How to print two sides

If your printer does not have a duplex unit then the printercannot print double sided pages automatically.
You can print double sided pages but you have to do it one page at a time.
First print Page 1 then place the page back into the paper tray, but turn thepage upside down and the print Page 2.
Then print page 3 on one side then page 4 on the other side and repeat for therest of the document.
I suggest you try a test page first, to get the printing the right way up onboth sides of the page so it reads correctly.

Is this printer air printer capable

Lexmark introduces the Lexmark LexPrint Mobile Print Application that lets you print photos from Apple devices such as iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad using any Lexmark printer connected to the same wireless network.
Simply download and install the LexPrint App on your Apple device. For the Lexmark X9575 printer, you will also need to download and install the LexPrint Listener Application, as well, on your computer that is connected to the same wireless network.
Your computer will have to be "on" in order to successfully print from your Apple device to the Lexmark printer.
I hope this information has been helpful.

The duplex unit is not recognised. thus no double sided printing. using mac os 10.6

I would reinstall the driver again. You can download the drivers from the lexmark site at http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=content&id=DR5430&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&userlocale=EN_UK&segment=DOWNLOAD&productCode=LEXMARK_X9575&searchid=1286484373260

Once you have installed the driver go to system preferences and then print and fax then click on your printer and then open the print queue once opened click on the info icon then select driver and there should be a a check box for duplexer if it is there. Hope this helps.

Does the Lexmark X9575 print automaticly 2 sided with no manual feed. I have a 15 page document doulbe sided. How do I print this without babysitting the printer. Thank you

Your model supports automatic duplex printing using letter and A4 sizes ONLY. If you want to print two-sided documents on another type or size of paper, use the manual duplexing method.

1) With a document open, click "File" > "Print..."
2) Click "Properties" or "Preferences" or "Options" or "Setup" depending on your system
3) Click the "Advanced" tab
4) From the "2-Sided Printing" area, select the 2-Sided Printing option and then select either the "Sideflip" or "Topflip" option (sideflip is the setting most often used)
5) From the drop-down box, select Automatic.
6) You will see an "Extend dry time" option, which allows extra drying time between sides when you are printing on both sides of the paper. The Automatic 2-Sided Printing option affords enough time for the ink to dry on supported paper types in average air humidity. Under conditions of high humidity, or if the normal drying time does not allow the ink to dry completely, you should select Extend dry time.
7) Click <OK> to close any printer software dialogs that are open. This will take you back to the General Print screen.
8) Click "Print"

Note: To return to single-sided printing, return to the Advanced tab. From the 2-Sided Printing area, clear the 2-Sided Printing check box.

My Lexmark X9575 also only prints the 1st page

Hello,

I would try a postscript print driver. First, delete the current print driver and install the latest updated driver from the Lexmark website. Once you do that, try to print a document and see if that works.
