POSSIBLY, LOOK FOR A BUTTON ON THE BACK OF YOUR CAMERA THAT SAYS " DISP " AND PUSH THIS. IF THIS WORKED YOUR PROBLEM IS SOLVED AND THE DISPLAY WAS JUST TURNED OFF. TRY THIS AND SEE IF THIS IS THE CASE. IF NOT REPLY TO ARCLIGHT1217 AND WE'LL CONTINUE, BUT I THINK THIS IS IT.

SORRY ABOUT THAT. WAS HOPING THAT THIS MIGHT HELP, BUT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A MORE SERIOUS PROBLEM. WELL, IT WAS WORTH THE TRY. DARN, TO BAD. GOOD LUCK! SORRY.

Screen not working on Canon powershot D10...takes pics but screen is black.

This is obviously a lack of power flow into the LCD. It could mean many things. All you need to do is; take it into a service centre for a check up and repair.
Don't attempt to fix it yourself.... if you value your camera, you need to accord it proper service ... and care.

LCD Screen remains black

Hi!
Have you tried pushing the DISP button while taking pictures? It's on the right from the LCD.

Black screen on camera

did you drop it?, most likely this occurs of people drop their cameras and the inside connection dislocates. simple solution is to take it apart and fix any loose connection on the lcd and put it bak together. if that doesn't solve it, order a new lcd for it, unless if it's lesss of a hastle getting a new camera

Sound gone from camera video recording

Reset the camera to factory settings.

If still you are experiencing the same problem, then you will need to have your camera reviewed by a qualified technician to have it repaired, since it requires to open the camera and evaluate the main board and microphone circuitry..

Canon SD1000 blurred pictures and blurred LCD, Camera wont focus! please help ive had it for 2 weeks

The best chance to use your SD1000 is to set to picture, push ISO (on top of the func. set ring) and set to hi. This works pretty well. Do not bother sending any camera to Canon, they charge the "standard charge" plus for all their manufacturing problems on all Canon cameras. Definately the worst customer service on the market.

Blank screen

Did you accidentally hit the lower left "Display" button on the back of your camera? It manually turns the screen on or off to save batteries. Turn the camera on and press it once to check.

The "stuff" you see on your screen is some of the icons that Canon uses and is perfectly normal--the problem is that nothing from the outside world is getting to the screen, so it's black. Could be a broken CCD (not good--see www.usa.canon.com about fixing it) but let's try some easy stuff first, like pressing the DISP. button below your viewfinder once or twice. Also, eliminate the obvious: when you turn on the camera, does the lens pop out? Does the black metal lens cover open up so you can see the lens? Try removing and replacing the batteries. Also, if you feel adventurous, reset the camera to its defaults--i.e., wipe out any changes you may have made by accident--by removing/replacing the CR1220 date battery under the rubber cover at the side of the camera (you'll have to reset the time and date after you reinstall it). Good luck!
