Hoover Floormate SpinScrub won't dispense cleaning liquid

My Hoover Floormate Spinscrub will not dispense the cleaning liquid at all. There does not appear to be any obstruction from the clean solution tank down to the bottom of the machine where it comes out above the floor. The only solution in the owners manual is to make sure that the tank is securely locked in position (which it is). Any suggestions?

I had the same problem and was preparing to take it back, the last thing I tried was to 'reseat' the handle -- I removed it then snapped it very firmly back into place. That did it, it's working beautifully now!

Try putting a bungee cord around the tank after you place it in its spot - which will keep it snugly in its place. It worked for me.

Try using a bungee cord wrapped around the tank tightly.

Hi, how do I check my hoover floormate deluxe spinscrub's filter and motor?

Hi Mike! To check the filter on the Floormate deluxe, remove the dirty water tank and pull up on tank lid to separate from the base. Check foam filter for debris, if filter has debris, rinse it with water. To prevent internal damage make sure you are using only the Hoover Floormate detergent. If the machine is still noisy and smells bad we recommend taking it in to a Hoover authorized service center. Follow the link to find the nearest service center to you. Hope this helps! Hoover 3010 FloorMate Plus not dispensing liquid

With the tank off, can you see if the rod in the handle is hitting the spot where the tank sits on, if not then there is a problem in the handle. If it is, then the reservior asm may be bad, it is what the tank sits on.
