My LG VX 5400 only works on speakerphone.

I made a phone call no problems; five minutes later no sound from the phone. No keypad sounds or audio from the earpiece. seems to work fine if I switch on the speaker.

Do you have a Bluetooth headset? If so, your phone may have inadvertantly connected to your Bluetooth headset, resulting in no sound from the phone unless on speaker. You can test it out by making sure the Bluetooth power is off....from your phone's main screen, hit the "menu" button, then go to Settings and Tools, then Bluetooth Menu, then hit the "Set Off" softkey on the lower left side of your screen. If the softkey reads "Set On", then your Bluetooth power is already off. In that case, remove the battery while the phone is still on, wait 30 - 60 seconds, put the battery back in, power up and see if issue is resolved. If not, contact Customer Service for your wireless provider.

Everything works....After 5 minutes, no sound. Shut down TV for a day, turn it on...sound. Five minutes later, it loses sound. Had the TV for 4 years with no problem before this.

Check and replace its audio output IC, or audio output card. If you wish to get more details, check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. You can also do a search, by type in the brand name/model number/IC used, in the search box at the top right of the display window.

Microsoft vx-3000 won't work on MSN!!

What you can do is click the Sound Icon beside the Nudge Button. It might bring up a window titled "Set up Audio and Video - Speaker/Microphone or Speakerphone" the Microsoft Vx-3000 has a microphone built in, so you can change your audio settings to "Microsoft Vx-3000" , then click next. The next one is Webcam. You can change the default settings to Microsot vx-3000.

If you've tried changing your settings for MSN before, then I'm not sure. This is the clever way for me :P

Callers can hear me but I can't hear them.

This ia stupid glitch with the phone, to fix it all you need to do is stick a head phone into the jack for about a minute. This somehow resets the audio setup because it doesnt have a microphone and then the audio is routed back to the speaker. I had to try this about 3 times before it workd. My phone did the same thing. Just put headphones in for a minute. :))

No audio

wife had similar problem. local verizon store technician asked her if she used a headset - when headset is used external audio is muted - seems, somehow, the phone was "stuck" in headset mode even after the headset had been removed. solution was to re-plug in the headset and remove is slowly. hope this helps.

Sound

You need to check the setting if the phone is not put to a sort of mute setting while pressing the buttons.
