Ice maker stopped working and spraying water all over. A new ice maker was installed and made 1 drop of cubes and spayed water all over again. Two new tubes were installed and the problem still exists.
$243.00 later, we still have no ice maker and the repairman has no idea what the problem is.
If u open the front of ur ice maker where there is a plastic cover it pops off there is a screw under that cover and u just need to turn the screw down and then see if that solve the problems if not please get back to me Looking to help u Shaun
u can back the screw in a little if u notice it spraying back it back out again Looking to help Shaun
in the back or ur freezer is a hose which goes in to the is ice maker check the hoes to see if the water is going in to the ice tray maybe there is a crack on the bottom of ur ice tray i would recommend calling a tech for a free estimate Looking to Help Shaun

Thanks for the model number. If the ice slots inside the ice maker are empty try pouring tap water in and allow the water to freeze. If after the water freezes the ice drops into the ice bucket and the ice maker does not refill this would indicate that the side of the=> W10408179 Water Inlet Valve is defective on the side that controls ice maker water supply. If the ice maker just sits there and does nothing this would point to a defective ice maker. Depending what is wrong with the ice maker will determine what parts are replaced. Fill ice maker with tap water and allow the water to
freeze. If when the ice maker cycles and drops ice into ice bin it chooses not
to refill with water at end of the cycle. That would point to the dual water
control valve. If ice maker does nothing when filled with tap water that will
indicate a defective ice maker. The model number you listed does not appear to
be correct. Look around the fresh food section door frame and see what you
have. This could be the ice maker or the dual water control valve causing this

The ice cubes are smaller than they used to be, and it isn't making as much or as quickly as it used to, but it isn't spraying any more (so far).I just didn't know how far to unscrew that screw.
It is almost to the end. Thank you for your help, and if you have any more advise on it, please let me know.
I shut the ice maker off this a.m. as I noticed water leaking and it was already frozen. I saw your new helpful idea, and went in to take the ice tray out to open the front and screw that screw in a little and there has been water leaking and freezing. Starting to build up. I turned the ice maker back on and will watch it the rest of the day until I go to bed. If it continues, I will have to shut it off and defrost in the a.m. on Monday.
What do you think the problem is now? Any ideas?
Thanks for trying to help. I had to shut the freezer completely down last night. Where the water runs down the tube, it fills with water and freezes. Dripping water all over every thing and then freezing up the whole opening. Then it started making so much noise, we had to shut it off and let it defrost.
I will try and find some one to come look at it again.
