How do i reset my canon IR2010f copier to facory defaults

Hi steve363,

Please follow the steps below to reset the unit to factory default.

1. Go into service mode. (*28) "Function" - "Clear". To get into service mode you might need to push "Additional Function" key. *AD>28 simultaneously and *AD again.

2. There should be an option under the clear menu for "pwd-clr".

3. Highlight it and then press OK.

4. On reboot the ID screen should have gone.

5. If not under the clear menu, please try MN-CON, that will clear the main controller.

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Enter DEPT.ID & DEPT.ID Password how can i solve it can any give to reset setting codes

You will have to reset/clear the password. This WILL REMOVE all passwords setup in Dept ID Management. Go into Service mode by pressing the Additional Function key, then the 2 & 8 pressed at the same time, then Additional Function key again. Press COPIER on display, then Function ( across the top ), then CLEAR, PWD-CLR, Then Ok. You may also use the arrow keys on the display to get to PWD-CLR. Then the RESET key or maybe power down the equipment.

Need a code to get access to the system setting

OK right - you can't get the password but you can clear the password and start again by accessing the service mode. Press the additional functions key (the one with a star inside a head) and then press both the 2 and 8 keys together (at the same time as each other) then press the head key again. If done fairly quickly, you'll be in the service mode now. From the displayed options select 'COPIER' then press 'FUNCTION' then press 'CLEAR' find the 'PWD-CLR' then press 'OK'. You have now cleared all passwords and can access the system settings to set them up again or just leave the system password off.
