Default code F1

My dishwasher is indicating an F1 default code after I opened the drawer after starting the cycle. I thought I hit pause but might not have waited long enough? There is no water in the unit, I need to clear this code, Any simple answer?

Always leave the bottom draw closed till the beeps alert you that it has finished, the machine requires drip time, the lid that closes down on the tub needs to dry out otherwise water drips into the base & can activate the flood switch, it will dry out by itself given a few days, removing the bottom tub by pressing the tabs located either side just behind the front panel & pulling the draw forward, mop up any excess water, do unplug the machine before playing around inside .

If you physically forced door open then started f1, its possible that there is no issue and you can reset it. F1 is a code for water leak... if you can remove the lower drawer from the cabinet, youll find water in the lower tray, youll need to dry up this water in order to have the f1 code stop

F1 and beeping

F1 means the drawer lid is not closing properly - (lid seal leaking) which caused water to splash out when you started the wash cycle. The flood circuit on base of dishwasher housing (under the bottom drawer) has tripped. You will have to find the source of leakage and also dry the base of dishwasher housing. Make sure the dishwasher is unplugged form mains socket when you work in it.

Dishwasher keeps flashing F1

F1 on your dishwasher is the fault code for leaking inside the machine. the water has caused the flood switch to activate. have you put any detergent rather than your normal dishwasher detergent into the machine? if you have, the water probably leaked out of your overflow, if not, then you have a leak on the top drawer or bottom drawer. the easiest way to check is to leave the machine off for a couple of days until it drys then turn on the bottom drawer to go thru a cycle.if the F1 comes up again then the problem is on your bottom drawer. if F1 does not come up then try the top drawer. please reply if you require further help.

My dish washer has a f1 code i put to much

f1 code indicates a leak.open bottom drawer,find the spring clips on side of tub where tub meets the front panel.push the clip and you will be able to slide the track back and remove tub. put tub on floor to left you should see a puddle,dry it up should be ok. Sensor is sensitive to moisture allow 24 hrs to reset if all visible water has been dried up. hope this helps ,please rate my solution :)

F1 code on Fisher and Paykel dishdrawer

Hi,

It would seem to be in an endless loop (firmware glitch). Initially, pls try:
  • unplug from the mains or switch off the breakers for a couple of minutes;
  • plug back in/switch on the breakers say after 20 minutes;
  • press POWER to turn drawer on;
  • Press and hold (at the same time) both the POWER and ECO buttons for a few seconds;
  • a five minute demonstration wash cycle will come on;
  • press POWER again to put unit on standby, all the LCD segments will start flashing (and light up);
  • press and hold START/PAUSE for a few seconds to hear confirmation beep/tune.
Alternately, should you have the two-drawer, open any drawer and look at the wash intensity/economy buttons. Now press them, one at a time, alternating between the two, at even timing.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

Troubleshooting problem with two drawer fisher & payke dishwasher

F1 is a flood code and is an indicator that water has escaped from one or both drawers. It is usually caused by placing too tall of a dish in the drawer or from failed parts such as the older style "link supports" or a faulty lid motor. It also can be a chronic problem if the machine is not installed correctly.

Double Drawer Dishwasher

The last two faults are logged into EE memory.
The other U (user) faults have been removed. The old U2 fault, which was the tub forced open during a cycle, has
been removed completely. Instead if the tub is forced open the product simply pauses as if someone had pressed
the start/pause button. The old U3 fault, which indicated a failure to drain i.e. water left in the tub, will not show up a
fault and the DishDrawer will continue through the cycle
