    hi'

there's detail of what you did, but anyway, try to unplug your video card, release the lock. and in a few minutes and replug it firmly.

but be sure to unplug all the power supply before you do that. and please don't touch all the components of the motherboard and also of the video card.

I would also unplug your monitor and re-plug it back in. It could be a bad connection.

What purpose does the battery serve in the motherboard of my desk top?

It's for the CMOS chip that holds the BIOS software that supports your motherboards info. That's why you have the correct time and current hardware configuration even after being unplugged.

No input means there is no communication with the video card. Try reconnecting monitor cable. Or, possibly re-seating the video card if its an add-on.

I get no signal on my lcd when I start my m8000 hp pc desktop

There is no communication to the video card. Try checking cable. Reconnect. Make sure monitor is set to correct input, like VGA, DVI, or HDMI. Reseat the video card, and if still nothing, test with another video card.

Yellow power light on HP SR1420NX

For reasons yet to be determined, your computer is not talking to your monitor.

This could be the monitor cable came loose from the tower (this is our favorite, because it is such an easy repair), or something on the motherboard (that is, anything) that is not functioning and preventing your computer from starting.

Unplug the connecting cable, and plug it back in again, making sure that it is seated properly.

Do you hear any sounds besides the fans? You should be able to hear the faint clicking of a hard drive starting up also. If you hear this, the problem is not in the computer, but in the communication to the monitor.

Good luck
