Noisy maytag dryer

The dryer seems to dry the clothes fine, but the whole time it is tumbling the clothes, it has a continous noise from either the drum or somewhere...?? I looked at the little plastic turbine thing that pushes the hot air into the drum,,that looked o.k. I am pretty sure that it is the bearings....PLEASE HELP!!

No, they never went into detail how to fix the problem , in this case they mention Blower Wheel. What is the blower wheel. How do you get to it? It is or was a very open end answer that just left more questions like mine.

The blower wheel sounds like it is bad it should be tight on the shaft and not turn unless the tub turns

I have a maytage dryer model# mde2706ayw and it is making a loud squicking noise on and off. it is sometimes really loud and only last a few seconds on and off during the whole cycle

Many dryers use rollers or wheels to support the clothes drum. When these rollers are worn, they can be noisy. You should replace the whole set of rollers at the same time.
Dryers have a tension or idler pulley that keeps tension on the main drive belt. When it's worn, it can be noisy. When that happens, don't lubricate it. Just replace it.

When the dryer tumbles, it makes a loud noise. What could it be? How do I fix it?

Go to Sears and purchase a new belt & idler pulley wheel for yours. The bearing in the pulley has dried up bearing causing this noise. The belt will be stretched and replacing it the same time will save a future headache

My tumble dryer squeaks really loudly when its going and seems to be taking ages to dry - any idea?

Check the following:
  1. Idler pulley - It keeps tension on the main drive belt and when it is worn, it can be squeaky and noisy. Replace then.
  2. Glides - Attached to the front bulkhead of the clothes drum for support. When worn, it can be noisy and squeaky.. Replace then.
  3. Rollers or wheels - They support the clothes drum. When they are are worn, you should replace the whole set of rollers at the same time.
  4. Blower wheel - It pulls air over the heat source through the clothes drum past the thermostats, then pushes it out the exhaust duct. It may wear out over time. If it is noisy, it may be clogged with lint. Clean the blower and test to see if the dryer is still noisy. If it is, you need to replace it.

Loud Noise From Dryer

*Many dryers use rollers or wheels to support the clothes drum. When these rollers are worn, they can be noisy. You should replace the whole set of rollers at the same time.

*Dryers have a tension or idler pulley that keeps tension on the main drive belt. When it's worn, it can be noisy. When that happens, don't lubricate it. Just replace it.

*Many dryers use nylon or plastic glides at the front of the clothes drum for support. When these are worn, they can be noisy. When that happens, replace them.

*Some dryers support the clothes drum in the rear with a center spindle instead of rollers. The spindle may be a ball-and-socket type support or a shaft through a sleeve. When the components are worn, they may squeak, squeal, or rub. You can't repair them. Just replace them when they're worn.

*Your dryer's blower wheel pulls air over the heat source, through the clothes drum, and past the thermostats, then pushes it out the exhaust duct. The blower wheel, which is usually plastic, may wear out over time. But if it's noisy, it may simply be clogged with lint. Clean the blower and test to see if the dryer is still noisy. If it is, you probably need to replace it.

A faulty blower could also cause a noise during operation and as the motor slow rpms on stopping.
