    power steering goes out at idle and comes back as soon as accelerator is pushed

As long as nothing is stuck in track and you hear no noise when using switches, look for broken wire at connector or in harness. ck fuse first of course, if blown, something may be stuck in track causing it to stop and blowing fuse

Here is your fuse box diagram, but you are likely to need an auto-electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer to work out where the heater communication problem is. The Body Control Module does your heating.
