Question about Sanyo AVM-1309S 13" TV
I have a 13 inch, Sanyo monitor, model AVM 1301, I've had it about 10 yrs. Two days ago it lost it's sound though it still has very good video. the day it lost sound we had bad weather move into the Maryland area. Can this be fixed or should I cut bait? BTW, there is no cable hookup the tv plugs directlu into a wall socket though I do have it's aerial attached. Thanks...
SOURCE: program an old sanyo tv
You need to go into the menu and set it for cable insted of air/tv. The television is only getting the 2 - 13 because on that setting, its as high as it goes.

SOURCE: tv code search
I can give you these. You should try them until one works hopefully. 0506, 0311, 0612, 0002, 0428, 0802, 0412, 0619. Sometime the universal remotes will not operate everything so be sure to try the power on/off and the volume and try changing channels before assuming the code is wrong. One of these should work...

It should be on the main power board, near where the power cord plugs into the set. It will be quite a large cap, you can check its value by reading the value on the side of it, ensure the you replace it with the same value cap.

I had a problem like that so I disabled the tv's onboard tuner (input source)and now we use the cablebox's video and audio out to the video and video in jacks on the TV this will work as long as you have a cable box or sat reciever for your video and audio source and of course your TV must have video and audio inputs so it will work.
Good luck Rich
