Question about Sony KDSR50XBR1 50" Projection HDTV
The switches (there are two of them) can be bypassed but it isn't a fun job. There are 3 connections on the switch boards and if you connect all 3 together, that should bypass the switch. There is one switch on the door and another located on the lamp socket board. You can bypass on the door but there is no way I can describe how complicated it is to get to the one on the lamp socket. So, try jumping the one on the door and see if helps. REMEMBER THAT THE LAMP IN THIS SET CAN CAUSE BURNS, VISION DAMAGE AND OTHER PROBLEMS SO AFTER YOU HAVE JUMPED THE SWITCH, PUT THE DOOR BACK ON AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORD UNPLUGGED WHEN YOU WORK ON THE TV.
