Hi anotmb, the driver software for the Abit NF-M2S onboard LAN controller is included in the MCP61 Chipset Driver package. You will find the MCP61 Chipset Driver & other driver software at this link;
If when you click the MCP61 Chipset Driver Download button & the download site fails, than try either of the other - Europe Mirror Site or Asia Mirror Site.
Create a folder on your desktop & name the new folder chipset.
Download file name: 29.7 MB in size. Into the chipset folder.
Use the program called Winzip to uncompress the file, keeping the uncompressed files in the same folder. If you do not have Winzip you can download it for free from this link:
Winzip will create another folder named: 9152kxp32. Open the folder & read the README.TXT file.
This will show you the list of driver software that will be installed into your system.
After you install the driver software, restart your system & than run windows update. There may be hardware & or software updates for your board.
If your network adapter still fails to function than the onboard LAN chip may be defective. (Lets hope not)!

Good luck anotmb!

Which network drivers do i need to install for an intel motherboard d945gccr keeps telling me cant find network adapters but i have an onboard adapter

you will have to open up your network connections click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red x or a yellow exclamation or question mark you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled or you could click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager look for network adapters + expand Ethernet driver if you see a yellow question exclamation mark or a red X you will need to update/reinstall the driver for the device if you computer came with a motherboard disk the driver could be on it
the drivers might be installed for this device
click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll through all of your devices if you see a yellow question or exclamation mark ? ! or a red X you will need to update the drivers for this device right click select update driver/reinstall driver
if you can see your usb device but its not working scroll to Ports(Com&Ltd) right click to update driver if you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it

or you might have to download one
if this driver is not right
on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for
(be precise)also the download software finder under that there will be a list place a tick in the box of any one you want/need
all software windows software mac software mobile and web apps

Please help! While trying to connect to the internet, my service provider told me I needed to install a driver. Can anybody HELP me please.

> my service provider told me I needed to install a driver.

Did they say "which" driver?
It is SHAMEFUL that they could not provide any assistance to a PAYING customer.
Maybe, you should CANCEL, and switch to a provider that WILL help.

Click Start
Click Control Panel
Double-click Network Connections
If you see a description of the network-adapter in your computer, you already have the correct driver for that hardware.
If not, close the Network Connections window.
Double-click System.
Click Hardware.
Click Device Manager.
Do you have any devices marked with "red" or "yellow" icons?
If so, you need a driver for your network-adapter, since Windows could not locate one.
What manufacturer of network-adapter?
What model-number?

Networking/Motherboard- does not recognize networking devices

Can't WinXP find appropriate driver for your lan card? If Asus did not provide a driver for its built-in lan, i think windows XP already has the driver built in its cache. try to install it using the wiz.

you need a driver of your network card, can you do this, you just search in the internet, follow this, you just type the website of the brand of your network card, so now you are that website, just search the model of your network card(NF-ms2s v.1.0), after that you can see driver, just click it and then save, after you download you just click to install
