Question about Philips 46PP9302 46" Rear Projection Television
When the tv is on i see two seperate images over lapping (green and red) i have tried to manually do a convergence with red and blue. as there is no option for green. blue is right on. when i do the red i can move cross hairs left and right but cannot move up and down. on the crosshairs the red is below the green and will not go up. please tell me if this is something a handy man can fix or should i take it to a repair shop? thank you
You will need to replace both STK392-120 convergence ICs and roughly four of the 6.8 ohm 1watt resistors. You can get replacement parts at the following link with free installation instructions so you can do the repair yourself, most shops charge between 4 and 600 for the repair, which is actually easy and inexspensive to do yourself it does require basic soldering. heres the link.
