Question about Onkyo Audio Players & Recorders
i hope you have listen to the advice of techman.to take in back the set, obviously you had bought a defected set, from the first out break you had not gotten any response from the set you should have returned it.meddling around with the set or causing any other third party meddling with it will void the warranty, you have on the set on purchasing.good luck.

I think onkyo has not come up with codes for game console yet. Codes that are available are for DVR/VCR, CD, DVD, TV. and Setup Box. I need to get the manufacturer of those components that you have for me to be able to determine which code is appropriete for your components.

Onkyo service told me, the second timethat I called them, that there is a known HDMI handshake issue with Motorola and Atlanta Scientific cable boxes. The only solution, and it was a solution, is to connect the box through the HDMI 1 port ONLY. All the other (2,3,4) result in blinking/dropping of signal. I did this, changed the cable/satelilte setting to HDMI 1 and all is well.

if you are good at tinkering then you can pulol the top of the receiver and check the fuses on the board to make sure that they did not blow if not then it would be wise to take it to a repair shop to have your receiver checked out and serviced
