When ? decided to reinstall OS(Formating the laptop) first ? updated the bios.then when powering on the pc there is a Ntdetect Failed promt on the screen and restarting the laptop continuously. I think there is a bios problem. I need your powerful hand and advice please.
LOL, sounds like you've got it trying to reboot from a Network or Lan first. Go back into the Bios and change the boot sequence to make the CD Drive your first boot option and the Hard Drive your second boot option.
You will want to boot from the CD to get the operating system installed. After it is installed be sure to remove the cd otherwise it will try to boot from it. Best option would be to go back into the bios and make the hard drive your first boot option after you get everything loaded.
You might be able to direct the system to boot from the cd as soon as you press the power button. Most systems will post an option to hit a certain key to get into the Bios or System Setup and a key to change the Boot order just for this one time.

it wouldn't be worth your time because you would need a new system board also. replacing a system board in a laptop is dicey because they don't always fit inside the case of a laptop. it would be significantly easier to just purchase a new laptop.

Take apart laptop and see what type of jack is on your system. There are two types. one is soldered on and the other is a module that connects to the motherboard with a wire connector.
If you have a soldered on type the you will need to de-solder it from the board then solder a new one onto the board. most ac jack issue just need to resolder it unless the jack itself is broken.
