Want to increase memory above 1 gig. compaq nx9010

Is there any way to increase the memory above ! gig on a HP Compaq NX9010 laptop? I just put in two 1 gig mem. cards and won't come up.
I wanted to increase memory to get my music interface to work better.

You may have incompatible memory module. Just put in one memory module in at a time to see if it boots up, this will determine which module was not compatible.

    No there is not a way to add more that 1gb ram to this pc. Unless HP comes out with a bios update that fixes that issue. Remove the second GB and it should be ok. If not you will need to buy 2 512 sticks.

I need the default password for compaq nx9010


there is no default password for HP COMPAQ NX9010.....in the mean time if it is bios password i suggest u take it to an expert

Yes. Max is 1 GB PC 2100 DDR 266 or higher
I have this notebook, and I got my memory at www.crucial.com
