SOURCE: Microtek 715c power supply requirements. just says it requires anywhere from 110-240 volts AC (which isn't very specific) and uses 48 watts. I don't see anywhere online that lists the DC power output... sorry. If you could get a manual for it that might help.

Cleaning won't do it.
It probably needs all new capacitors on the board. are any canister looking components bulged up at the tops ? This is the most common problem on the ones I fix.

Doesnt turn on anymore.

It's seems your backlight inverter is burnt out... need to be replaced with a new one or you can repaired yourself by testing all the capacitors to see which it has been burnt out or has a leaked. After that just replaced the bad caps... Good lucks, Have nice a day!

Monitor makes popping noise when power is on.

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!
