Toshiba E740 Power Problem

Hi, My E740 works great except for the unit will not turn off. It shuts down the screen for a second, then beeps and comes back on. It turns off fine when connected to the docking station, synch cable and wall adapter. occasionally it will power down fine, but rarely. I upgraded to the latest firmware (1.0618.0409) and replaced the battery. Does anyone know what's wrong?

Hi, I noticed that the firmware that you have is not the latest, the last provided was 1.0623.049 which was released a few years ago. I would install this, in addition to the other patches from the Toshiba web site. Hopefully this will overwrite any software quirks for you. regards, Keith

Why is my Canon Pixma 830 Printer beeping once upon start up, the screen lights for a second then the printer shuts off?

Either a power supply fault or there is a fault in the main circuit board. You may find a replacement power unit (they are held in by two clips ) at an electronics recycler or auction site like e-bay, but the main board is not an available part.

Blank screen, triple beeps when trying to shut off

Hello,
I have looked around for you and here's what i found:
Try holding down the power button on the front of the unit till you hear a beep (4-5 seconds). If you don't the unit will power on, but won't reset the video settings. Most people don't hold the button down long enough.
i hope i have helped and i hope it works, let me know how goes !!
