Question about Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 v2.0

1 Answer

Microsoft wireless keyboard 6000 v 2.0 often stops working. No idea what the lights on the little wireless hub means as no instructions. Help files do not mention anything either. I have erases=d drivers etc and reinstalled them several times. I got a replacement from the shop after I bought it. Occassionally PC will not start as it says no keyboard is attached / cannot be found. Please can someone help me? Getting really frustrated with the whole thing. Thanks. Schmulus

I am having the same problem. I have put brand new batteries in the keyboard but not change. When I check the keyboard status, it tells me that the connection is good and the batteries are good as well. Did I hit a key and lock the keyboard?

Any help would be most welcome.

Are your batteries in the Keyboard and mouse good?

On the receiver there is three lights. The "A" is the CAP LOCK light, The "1" is the RECEIVER light and the "F" is the F LOCK light.

You probably have gotten it working by now but here is a way to get it work if not.

Press the Receiver button a(and the lights will start flashing, then if its the Keyboard that isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect.

If its the MOUSE do the same except push the small RESET?CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect. Then they should work properly. Hope this helps. Bud

Goo0dness, Had this myself just last week. Fortunately I had the old keyboard and mouse and plugged it in to get access. I deleted the wireless keyboard from device manager. rebooted the machine, quickly changed the mouse and keyboard back to the wireless one and it all came back on. saved me buying a new one. Hope this works for you.

Operating instruction manual

Here is a link in PDF Format for the Manual. It doesn't offer much help and states that help is available with the Software on a disc that might have been with the package.

I cannot find instructions for configuring my Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 6000. Please help.

Go to their website and look under products (not OS) support and downloads. Drivers should be available there and manuals in PDF format.

Microsoft wireless notebook laser mouse 6000 not working

I have a miscrosoft wireless laser mouse 6000, and it also stopped working on my laptop. I changed the battery, still no workie. I tested the battery in another device, and it was good. I moved the mouse to another computer, and it did not work. The light on the usb connector was lit. [No changes at all to my laptop.]. It seemed like there was no power to the mouse, and I looked at the contacts inside the mouse. The contact just inside the mouse's opening for the battery appeared to be bent down (away from the contact on the battery tray). So, I pulled it up a little so it would connect when the battery drawer closed, and (after tweaking it a couple of times), it finally worked!

It means, your batteries are dead so need to be replaced on keyboard once you replace those the you got to turn it on and once lights comes up then you to to press wireless button for 5 seconds.
once it starts blinking then you got to press wireless button of receiver (bluetooth stack) and once it blinks then your keyboard should be detected automatically.

please post back if any thing changes and vote all answers.

Good Luck.

Microsoft Natural Wireless Laser Mouse 6000 doesn't work

Hi
If you take the batteries out there is a screw in there. unscrew and open (not easy) with flat knife in the edges wiggling.
attach and touch all the inside wires. I have had the same problem and it is an internal connector problem. Opening and closing aint easy and will take a little patience but it will work.
Good luck
