Question about A-Top XBlade Mid-Tower Case
I have a XBlade 550 ATX 450 Watt Power Supply along with a Asus K8V SE MB. When I try to power up the PC I get nothing, I removed the panel and checked the lights to my Power Supply and they light up as does the green light on the Mother Board. Why am I not getting it to power up?
You may have a bad power switch on the front panel.

Most if not all pc power supply’s have a short circuit protection feature that will not allow themselves to turn on if there is any type of short in the system
Example being : one day on my pc here one of the extra power plugs for the cd rom drives (the ones that are there for adding more drives with red,2blk,and ylw wires) was hanging down in the back of the case out of view and some how managed to make a perfect connection with one of the positive wires and a little notch on the metal case resulting in pc not turning on.
Also i have seen some rare times where a screw that was lose in the case had fallen between the motherboard and the metal panel that the board is mounted to causing a short which prevented the computer from turning on.
If you have gonna as far as changing power supply’s then you might as well remove the whole board and then putting it back in but only connecting the power supply first to see if it turns on with just the board and the power button connected and if it does then install each component one at a time testing it in between until it stops working again to be able to tell which device it is.
if it does not turn on with just the power supply and the board by it self then check the capacitors on the board usually the ones closest t o the CPU to see if any of the tops of them look like they are popped up (they should be perfectly flat on top and the lines perfect and if one of them are even the slightest bit rounded on top like they swelled up a little then the board is history...Hopefully this is not the case and to make this easier for you here is a pic I uploaded to my website for you so you can see the difference http://systemonenetworking.com/caps.jpg
