Question about Sony XT-100HD HD Radio Tuner

2 Answers

When battery is disconnected ''on state'' and memory is lost.

Is there a way to force the XT-100HD to remember the FM channel of my choice so that when the battery is disconnected it will remember that frequency and return to the channel of my choice after power is restored?

I see from schematic that there is a connector inside the cover (cn501) which is labeled "Flash Programming". This connector has pins labeled RX, TX, Flash_W and 3.3v_backup. May this connector be used to change the default functionality if this unit to force it to return to "radio on" state and on the frequency I have preselected?

Thank you!

There actually is the capability that come with very few radios right now. But, you are looking at a lot of money. I like sticking with my $130.00 Kenwood that plays cd's, fm and am radio, a aux. output to hook my comuteror ipod up to, but my favorite feature is a USB port to hookup a flashdrive to it. I can put thousands of songs on my 12gig. flashdrive and never have to worry about the radio again, including never having to worry about having to reset the stations after disconnecting the power supply.

"wiring for audio jack on a belkin fm transmitter model f8z439 the wires are purple yellow and green insulated with a bare copper strand surrounding the..."

Bare copper - ground
Yellow - right channel
Green - left channel
Purple - antenna I think.

I downloaded mp3 files from here: http://www.audiocheck.net/audiotests_stereo.php to test a bunch of combinations.

I found that any combination of purple and yellow gave me a correct right channel. Any combination of green and purple gave me a correct left channel.

The aha moment came when i attached the purple to the ground portion of the stereo plug along with the bare copper.

Unlock codes for 2004 buick lesabre radio

Hello! Best bet is to visit the local Buick dealership and give them; proof of ownership and the vehicle's VIN# (they often do this free of charge; but not always) in return they will give you the code...To prevent this from occurring whenever the battery is disconnected; Do the following...Connect a 9 volt battery to a cigar plug (mind polarity) and plug into the cigar lighter BEFORE disconnecting the car's battery...This will hold the radio up until the car's battery is re-connected...Guru...saailer

Not clear on how to search and store radio frequencies manually in my Kenwood kdc-bt6544u car audio player. can i jump to a specific time in audio or do i have to hold the FF or RW till i get there? not...

Some makers are different.Usually if you hold down the search button long enough,it will switch to autosearch. There should be numbered buttons on the face of the stereo too right?Tune in to the channel you want to preset, press and hold down the number you want it to be.The sound will probably cut out for a couple of seconds, then when it comes back on the channel is preset.Once you set 6 on FM,if you press the band button again,it should give you the capability of presetting 6 more.If it goes to AM just press band once more and it will give you 6 new FM.Usually current radios give 6 AM possible, and 3 separate bands of FM for a total of 18 FM possible.Good luck! The battery went dead and i need to rest the radio

You have probably lost the frequency settings on the memory when the battery was replaced. Please follow carefully the way to set up your memory once again. swittch on the radio, scan for manual/ auto as desired. if the signals are strong you can scan/seek search and memorise. if not scan and select the channel location and press the preset button to store according to your need. Also chose the clock setting and set the time by scrolling, shift to the next digit and set. Hope this advice helps. Good day

Can find the stations on the radio but can not keep them on there after the radio has gone from standby

Hi,
You need to "store" the stations when you find them by depressing and holding down a channel preset button to store. If they do not stay stored after turning off the radio or the ignition, then the memory wire(yellow wire) may not be connected, or the fuse blown. It should be connected to power that never disconnects... that is straight to the battery. Check ot out and get back to me if you need more assistance.
