Sounds like the support wheels for the drum or related parts have broken.  You'll have to get in there to see what broke and replace it.

I have an indesit IS70 SC tumble dryer which is very noisy. The noise appears to be coming from the air intake fan and sounds a bit like a piece of cardboard against bicycle wheel spokes. Any ideas?

Dryers are not hard to take apart.
There is possible something caught inbehind things.
Make sure to unplug the dryer first. Then proceed to take it apart carefully noteing thing as you do it, so that you can reasseblem

Hi mervyn2011
Sounds like you have a bearing problem or drum roller/slide problems.
You will need to take the dryer apart to determine which problem it is.

Indesit 70c drier is working but the drum is not spinning

Please if the drum is jammed mechanically. if so you will need to reset with a mechanical job , Please check supply to drum, if absent check the controller unit for failure of the driver. If present then the motor is faulty, if capacitor is present for staring check for failure or attach one in parallel to confirm.

Indesit 1570c - it heats but the drum does not turn...

You probably have a broken belt. You have to remove the shell and reroute the belt. You can do it yourself for bout 20 bucks...Good luck. Look in your manual for proper routing of the belt. good luck.

My Indesit IS70 tumble dryer is not venting properly. Water build up in the base of the machione, behind the condenser, and does not make its way to the water holder at the top of the machine.

there is a hole for the water from the condensor to the water collector. make sure it is not blocked - this is common to happen.
take small panel off at back of machine and you can see the water collector. it has a small pump mounted on it which takes the water up to the top of the machine.
connbect this pump independently to mains and make sure it is pumping
