None of the buttons respond to my 14 month old dishwasher! The normal cycle and the heated dry button lights are on but none of the buttons on the panel give any response. I've turned off the power to the dishwasher in an effort to reset the machine to no avail.

II might need the actual model number. However, you can go to page 9 on this manual and check if the flashing options can fix the problem. I am assuming you have already tried to turn the power off and back on.
The ohter thing to try is the reset sequence. Within 6-7 secs press High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry/ High Temp/ Heat Dry. All lights should light up, press Start button to exit.
Hi Open the door.
Within 3 seconds press the following sequence --Try pressing normal wash,
heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within
6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help
then try pressing Saini
Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air
Rinse, Air Dry, Saini
Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Close the door
and press Cancel.
Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally.
If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and
try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the
keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad. Hope this
helps... Please post back if you need more information. Daniel

The part is covered by warranty. However, the labor is not and Whirlpool will not replace the part without having someone service the unit. Every place I checked wanted $100 just to come out and tell me what was wrong. Any service would be extra. Seems like Whirlpool figured out how not to stand behind its products. They should be held accountable.
