Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV27 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Believe it or not, I just solved this problem yesterday. Take something hard, I used a normal pen. And just tap around the lens. Not right on the glass, but like around the dial. Might have to tap a little hard, but dont break it of course. I did this with the camera on so that I could see the screen pop back on. When I did it, the video came right on like I had taken the lens cap off. Hopfully this helps some people!

I took out the 3 screws which hold the front lens on, then played with the wires and tapped on things...it is now working! One screw on top, one on bottom and one under the jack port cover.
