Question about GE 31GT720 31" TV
I have hooked up a dvd via the jacks on the back of the DVD and the TV. I get sound but a message on the screen saying "Unreadable signal". Will an S Video connection solve this problem vs. the red white yellow jacks I'm using?
I have the same TV. Make sure you have hooked up the red, white, yellow leads from the "out" jacks on the DVD to the same colored "in" jacks on the back of the TV. You also have to make sure your TV is set to Video Mode. I do this with the GE remote that came with the TV. There is a WHO-INPUT button on the left side of the remote, 3rd from the bottom. Toggling this button should switch you between TV and Video mode. Hope this works for you.
