Problems loading Microsoft Office Professional 2007

I'm trying to load Office Professional 2007 and get error messsage 1704 after it almost through loading the first disk. the dialog box says it can't continue the setup and it will roll back any changes it already made. The problem is besides the fact that I can't get the software to install is that it completely wiped out Outlook 2003 and when I try to open Outlook I'm told that there is a new file version that cannot be read and is corrupt. So all my Outlook information is now gone!

PLEASE HELP!! Thanks.

Check your computer for viruses. More than once I have seen when new software was unable to be installed that the computer had a virus that prevented the new installation of software. Either use a free online anti-virus service or download the trinity rescue cd.

Good luck

Step 4: Choose an installation option, Upgrade (removes Office 2003) or Customize (keeps Office 2003 installed and adds Office 2007, allowing you to use them both).

Note: Outlook 2003 will be uninstalled in either option. Outlook will be updated and your user settings and mail will migrate to the new version.

If you click Upgrade, go on to Step 5.

If you click Customize, go on to Step 4a.

I am loading up a new Dell computer with Windows 7 Pro, I have the upgrade for Office 2007 ( that I purchased) but only have upgrades since office 95. How can I load Office 2007 upgrade on this new...

Is the disk-drive from the old computer attached as a "slave" disk-drive on the new computer?
If so, then the "upgrade" utility should find the "qualifying" files, and allow the "upgrade" to proceed.

Is Office 95 listed as a "qualifying" product for the Office 2007 upgrade?
If so, then insert the CD-ROM for Office 95 when running the Office 2007 installer.
Or, insert the CD-ROM for the Office 2000/XP/2003 upgrade when requested.

I purchased Microsoft Office Professional 2007 - It came with Two disks - The disk #1 loaded just fine - The 2nd disk will not load at all - Can you help - Tom

Hello,

An error might have occurred during the installation process.

You might have to restart the installation process again.

Uninstall the disk one, then start a new installation.

It might also be possible that disk two is damaged, in which case, you might have to get an entirely new copy of Mocrosoft Office 2007.

Thank you for using Fixya,
Kenneth.

TRYING TO LOAD oFFICE PROFESSIONAL 2007 AND KEEP GETTING ERROR MESSAGE Error 1311. source file not found:E\SKU0 11.CAB. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it What should I do?

I stil do not have enough information HP model number for the windows (OP) operating system. Your error sound like something missing or curept on thr disk. Is you cd drive E:\   ?   Or is you hard drive E:\  ? Does your cd say that it is compatable with windows 2,000 ?  If not either reload the Xp or obtain the correct version of Office pro.
Do you see any scratches or smudges on the face of the CD? Microsoft can replace these CDs if damaged. Cal them if true.
