My desktop dosen't recognize my kyros

More than one computer or just one? Sounds like something wrong with the computer lan port.

Has the computer recognized the memory card in the past? If so, try download and reinstalling the memory card driver.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Card Reader drivers.

If after installing the drivers the reader still does not work, you can purchase a multi format card reader that will plug into you usb port from Tiger Direct for less than $15. at

When the site comes up just put in the search at the top "SD Card Reader or XD Card Reader" depending you your type and press GO. You can sort the returned results by Price Low to High.

Do you have a USB Cable that came with the camera that you can plug into one of the usb ports on the computer? If so, try that. It's another way of getting pictures off the camera. Plug the cable on the camera and into the computer then turn the camera on. The computer will recognize the camera and install the drivers. You can navigate through the camera folders just like you do any other device to find the pictures.

I would first try a different power cord/brick and make sure that isn't the issue. If that still doesn't work then you may have a broken port on your Kyros. In that case try and get a warranty replacement and if that isn't feasible you will most likely have to pay for the repair. If you recently dropped it while it was plugged in, that may have broken the connection between the port and the device.

maybe the pictures are corrupt files, if so what will transferring them to your desktop accomplish. If the files are good and you have the appropriate software to view them you should be able to on the laptop.

However if you want to try...

1) put in mem stick , when laptop recognizes it go into my computer

2) click on the icon for mem stick and minimize it

3) open my computer a 2nd time and click on drive pics are on

4) click on the first file / first pic and the while holding down shift key go to end of list of files that are the pics

5) rt click and press cut

6) then go into the other my computer open which should be the mem stick then rt click and hit paste

7) remove mem stick from laptop and place it in desktop

8) when desktop recognizes it , gather up all pic files with the shift key procedure done on laptop

rt click cut/copy

9) then go into c drive or applicable hard drive then rt click paste

You will most likely need a driver so that your computer can recognize the device. Check the box that your Coby Kyros Tablet PC came in with and grab the Setup CD. It should have the driver inside the setup. If not you can download the driver (which may or may not be) at coby's official site show here

How can I download pictures and videos onto my Kyros tablet, from my computer? The cord that connects my tablet to my computer doesn't allow me to do anything. Why was it given to me? I already purchased a mircoSD card and it doesn't fit into my computer, so I can't transfer any info. Please help me.

Try to reinstall video card drivers for your computer. check on device manger which device is not recognized by the operating system

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire).
