Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Port forwarding

Connect your Internet phone directly to the cable modem and see if you can use Internet phone directly through the modem.
If it works through the modem then it must be the issue with the port forwarding.
First get the port numbers from the phone manufacturer.
Open the setup page of the router and open those port numbers.

How to i unlock my router ports to play on my xbox? xbox live told me its these ports i have no idea how to unlock them im not looking to spend another 30 dollars on fixing the issue... i run my lap top...

I'm guessing when you say unlock you are needing to forward these ports. Follow this link...it shows you how to get into the router and forward the ports:

Port forwarding with linksys router

If you can get online. Definitely, your DNS server is correct. Meaning that your DNS and your static IP are on the same range. Because if the DNS server is NOT within the same range of your static IP, you will never get online. Slow connection has something to do with either the router settings or your ISP.

Port forwarding is opening a specific port so that you could send/receive messages, so that you could allow other URL. Like https, FTP and other stuff.

If you're connected wirelessly to the router, you may need to check/cnage the wireless channel of the router. And if the Internet is still slow, you may need to verify it with your ISP. Maybe they are doing some settings on their end.

Have a great day!

Help with my router

You did not have this problem before because port forwarding was set on the previous router settings, or you were using a modem ( no firewall) .
Here are instruction for port forwarding
Here are more instuctions
One last thing, if your computer is powerful enough (1gb memory would be good), use Azureus, is much better.

I can't connect to the Playstation Network for some reason.

You can typically see the setup for this router by going to http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 . The default login is admin/admin . Once you access the setup page, you will see an Applications and Gaming section to forward ports through to whatever you need. To get the ports forwarded, you need to know which ports and the internal IP address of the device you want to forward them to.
