SOURCE: Refrigeration AC not blowing cold air

If you can hear the A/C compressor start and run then your system has lost it's charge of refrigerant. If the compressor does not start and run it could be a control problem.

SOURCE: ac BLOWING HOT AIR INSTEAD OF COLD

Check to see if your outside unit is running. If not, check the breaker. If it is running you may have an issue with the reversing valve. It looks like three lines coming out of the top and one on the bottom. Trace the wires back to see that they are tight and secure. Of course, TURN OFF THE POWER first. good luck.

SOURCE: lennox air unit not blowing cold air

your fan motor outside is going bad, have a service company change it out for you.

the motor stopped working and that overheated the compressor shutting it down on thermal cutout, and it will only come on once it cools down

My 01 Windstar SEL has 2 problems with the AC/heating system. #1 when you turn on the blower motor/fan it only blows air through the defrost & down at the floor. I think it's a vacuum problem. #2 the...

The problem with the air distribution is due to loss of vacuum to the vacuum motors that control the air diversion doors in the AC/Heater duct work, The vacuum comes from the engine and then goes to a vacuum storage canister, check there first under the hood. The other issue of loss of cold air is most likely due to a sticking air temperature control blend door and or actuator. This requires the dash be removed to replace the parts.

Ac blows hot air comp is running

Make sure that the tubing around the accumulator is getting cold.
If not, the refrigerant may not be charged up.
Otherwise, the vacuum motor for selecting cold air may be not working correctly causing heated air from the heater core to be routed to the interior of the car.

Do you hear the vacuum motors working when adjusting the heat to cold selector? or changing the thermostat temperature if so equipped?

No cold air just hot

System is vacuum controlled check for vacuum at the switch you replaced If it's there then check the blend door motor (moves the "flapper") If motor is good, then the door is stuck and heater box needs to be taken apart. If no vacuum at the switch, work your way back to the engine where vacuum originates to determine where line is broken or disconnected.

Intertherm heating

My heating unit is blowing cool air. The thermostat will start the blower when the unit is turned on at the thermostat, but the air isn't hot. But,when I turn the unit on at the furnace/blower using the "Fan On" button, I can see the heating element heat up. After the blower starts the heating element does out. What could be the problem?
