if you goto start button, type in cmd (press enter) will load black screen with white writing, type in ipconfig /all look for the bit of info that says default gateway and next to it should have a ip address. like 192.168.0.1 if its shows a number like that, then thats the number u need to type in in internet explorer to access the router, if theres no number next to it, and you have tried a hard reset then router is faulty. hope this helps.
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a lost or forgotten password from a router or access point; you will need to reset the device to factory defaults. However, once the device is reset to factory defaults, you can use the default username ("admin") and password (either "password" or "1234" depending on your router) to reconfigure your router settings.
if there a small hole in the front or back of the router push a hair pin in to reset to factory settings
Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link. http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.15.1 or http://192.168.2.1 If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it. Then it ask for user name and password. Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank. Then you can see configuration page of router. If you are still not able to access router with above ip then you need to RESET it for that press RESET button for 10 seconds it is in back side of router then all settings defaults..Then you can access it with above method. . Then click on wireless->wireless security->WEP security there is code password note down it or enter new password then save setting s and restart router. then you can connect wireless with new password. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.
look in network comuters an devices for it or try router.com from internet explorer or use pen in hole to reset to default, push button and hold in, unplug router while holding the wole time then plug back in until all lights flash wait a coulple more seconds then release buttom, alow to power up then unplug for 10 seconds and plug back in.
Sir to access the router, go to your browser then type in 192.168.1.1 then type in Under the Username field enter “admin” and Under the password field enter “password”. After this you are now in it and you can now configure the firewall to be in unblock mode. Before doing this sir, i suggest that you unplug any cable in the WAN slot and just leave the PC you are using to it.
With the unit on, locate the small reset switch on the back of the router. Insert the end of a paperclip into the reset switch and hold for 10 seconds. The router will restart itself and the WLAN light will stop blinking. The router is now reset to factory defaults.
Remember The factory defaults username is admin, and there is no password.
I am not sure of the models but on the rack mount Edgeforce product your suppose to hold the reset pin while powering up until the Alarm light turns on, take 2-3 mins. Default user/password is admin/admin.
Fair warning I have one that is locked right now as well and a reset is not resetting and I can no longer log into it either. Anyone with ideas?
