Question about Olympus EVOLT E-500 Digital Camera
Evolt 500 i took a bunch of shots that i was able to review on the camera but when i took the memory card out and put in computer only shots from a couple days ago were there but not the ones from last night. i messed up and tried to fix it by formatting the card but the ones from last night entirely erased but not the previous ones.i used to have the evolt 410 but gave it to a nephew and i never had this problem with that camera. im using a compact flash and the camera is set for compact flash any clues you can provide would be great
Before unplugging any usb device from the computer... it is best to safely remove before unplugging the device...
i used to just unplug before i lost over 200 pics. was able to recover using recovery software but the whole process took about 3 hours to do. since using safe remove.. not a single loss
some pros suggest formatting the card on regular basis to also clean the card of file fragments... but once card is formatted, the pics are not recoverable... be careful
