Question about HP PSC 1210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

2 Answers

I own a HP psc 1210 all in one printer scanner copier

Currently, I am attempting to scan both the front and back of a legal document. Is my scanner capable of completing this task?

Yes, definitely. I wasn't certain if the scanner could scan both the front and back sides of the document without my turning the paper over. Thanks for the problem solving. I'm computer illiterate, so any advice you can give me is appreciated.

Sincerely, Laurie Manson...(soon to be Wilson)

The scanner on this printer cannot scan and print double face, you need to do it manually.

    See
    Manuals
    Download your product's user documentation.

See page 23 for scanning, you can scan or copy only one page at time, and this is not combined with any double-side print options.

The only way to proceed is by doing two scans, and then printing twice the same page.

This feature is usually not available on inkjets, you often need to get a good Laser printer to do double-side printing (and eventuallty scanning).

Yes, you will need to turn the document over when you scan the other side, you can't scan both sides at the same time.

HOW DO I un-lock the scanner on a Brother MFC 7420?

Unfortunately, the MFC-7420 doesn't have a physical lock switch. You need to turn off the all-in-one and wait for the unit to clear its memory. If the error recurs after you press the power button again, wait 30 minutes and try again. (Note: you will lose any faxes that are in memory. See the User Guide page 11-5 to save this information.) You can find the manual on the Brother support page for the MFC-7420: https://www.brother-usa.com/support/ModelInfo.aspx?R3ModelID=MFC7420 . Click on the Manuals & Documents tab. Then click on the Manuals on our Online Solution Center for the English version of the manual. The direct link to the User Guide is currently: http://download.brother.com/welcome/doc000387/ALLFB_UsaEngUsr_B.pdf .

You can also try unplugging the all-in-one for several minutes to reset the error codes. If the error persists, contact Brother if the MFC-7420 is still under warranty (1 year). If it isn't under warranty, consider replacing the unit. The repair costs may be unreasonable.

I hope this helps.

What is Apostille definition and How can you apostille a document?

This is a document certification scheme which applies in countries which are signatories to the Hague Convention on Private International Law, eg not in Brazil.

It notarizes or certifies a government issued document as a genuine one for use in another signatory country eg a US birth certificate for use in say, Spain.

Such a certificate is called an apostille. It is issued by any approved office in the issuing country. In the US this is generally any approved agent of the US Dept of State:

Hp laserjet m1522f error 5 turn off and on

Hi, Error 5 is a Scanner error. When turning the printer on, have the lid up so you can watch the scanner movement. Does it move smoothly? It should go through a warm up and you should be able to watch the scanner movement. If there is a problem with the scanner, there isn't a lot you could do except. The service manual says the scanner assembly should be replaced. If it was my printer, I would try to take a closer look at the scanner assembly and check to see if the scanner unit is bound up somewhere, or maybe a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the scanner rails. Let us know what happens.
thanks

How does the bulb look? Is it bright or kind of dim. The bulb warming error is designed to halt use of the machine until the scanner bulb reaches the correct output level. As these are basically a flourescent tube, they will dim over time and at a certain point they will not generate enough light to enable proper scanning. If the bulb is dim, it will require replacement.

When you scan with any scanner it utilised the software with "Optical Character Recognition functions, usually abbreviated to OCR -> OCR is a field of research in pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and computer vision." to scan and record the scanned object, sometimes it does not or cannot recognise certain symbols or characters because of man made software & hardware have its limitations too.

Hope it helps.

HP printer psc 2210 all in one

Chances are that you didn't lock down the scanner when you moved the unit. You can attempt to open the unit and move the scanner bar manually to reset it. HPs are very difficult beasts when it comes to their power up check out. It must be fully functional...including all cartridges...to work in most cases. Good luck.
