Don't assume that a lack of video is a bios issue. I'd first look at the monitor and then the video card.
Use another monitor to check the output. Unfortunately, your video circuit is integrated with the motherboard. Unless you have a PCI card to put into the computer, you won't be able to easily identify a video problem.
I have seen, though, a bad power supply affect the video output so that is an area to check.

Since another monitor didn't produce a display, you can assume the monitor is not the problem. So--on to the next troubleshooting ideas:
I suggest disconnecting the hard drive, the CD/DVD, and any other peripherals from the motherboard. You should just have the CPU, memory, and keyboard (and maybe the mouse) left plugged in. Try to start the system. If you get no display, remove one of the memory sticks and try it. If no luck, put that memory stick back in and remove the other (s). If you still have no luck, you can assume it's your video card. Since it's part of the motherboard, it can't be replaced. It's time for a new motherboard.
You probably have at least one PCI slot available, though (white plastic slot). If you can find a PCI video card, put that in and see if you can get a video display. Also, your computer may have a PCI-E or a AGP video slot available. You can try whichever one you have. If it works, you'll save the hassle of replacing the motherboard. Oh--for a new motherboard at a reasonable price, check e-Bay. That's what I do.

Compter on and running but no LCD image

Have you connected to an external monitor, just for fun? Try that, don't run off the battery, in fact, take the battery out. Use only the ac adapter for power. Now boot pressing f1 repeatedly until you get into bios. Just let it remain in the bios screen for a few minutes, long enough to prove you don't have a hardware problem such a s the inverter going out, etc.
Then allow it to continue to boot to windows. If it appears on the external monitor (may need to hit Fn+F5 or F&, to utilize both monitors), but not the system monitor, it's possible you've got a bad piece of hardware such as an inverter going out, or even the backlight failing.
If there's no image on either monitors, but you hear the usual sounds of windows booting up completely, it gets tricky.
First think is to update to most recent bios.
Floow the directions from the Lenovo site for the T20. Use the floppy image; it's just easier.
Good luck.
Let us know how it's going.

HP G61 NOTEBOOK PC BIOS BLINK ERROR CODE 2 BLACK SCREEN LED LIGHTS ABOVE NUM LOCK KEY AND LED LIGHTS TO LEFT OF CAPS LOCK KEY FLASH 2 BLINKS.NO MONITOR WHEN HOOKED UP TO AN EXTERNAL MONITOR.CD DISC DRIVE...

It would seem that your BIOS has become corrupted somehow. First try entering your BIOS setup. I believe for HP computers when you press power tap the F10 key until it opens. There you can try to reset them in some fashion and save. Try rebooting. If that fails then remove the battery and repeatedly press the power button for about 10 seconds.. (make sure it is also unplugged, this is to discharge the power from the system) then replace the battery and try booting again. Otherwise it would seem that you might have tried to load the wrong BIOS into your laptop. Check with HP then if you are still covered or not. :/

My Toshiba Tecra M5 won't boot. The power light flashes on and off, the fan starts but nothing is on the screen. How can I get it to boot?

Well, it sounds like you have a hardware problem. Start by removing the Ram and hard Drive from the machine and insert a boot disk. If your not getting the Tecra Splash screen when you press the power button, the screen that appears before the windows boot screen, you may have a bad Monitor or Burned background lamp or faulty BIOS install or upgrade. Any of which will give you this problem.

Desktop will not boot into bios No Usb power;monitor ''No Signal''

Your problem is the memory . YOu have to put off the pc and remove the memory card in the slot. Then clean the silver pins in your memory with a rubber eraser. Put it back and see if the BIOS will be prompted on the screen , if not you have to replace the memory.

Pc Seems to be dead wont load bios post moust doesnt work or keyboard or monitor

I have the same problem, the CPU fan spins, keyboard lights blink, no start up screen, or bios.
But, when I push a few times on the pc reset button, then the CPU fan is becoming still, the keyboard light are out and I can start the computer again in a normal way.
Can this one be a temporally solution for you too? Do you have any suggestion about?
I guess it can be an electricity dysfunction of a wrong fixed cable.

Computer turns on, but does not boot to XP

Generally, fans are controlled by heat readings...something to check is the operating temperature that is shown in your BIOS when you boot up...(access your BIOS by tapping on the delete key, or F2 key while booting)..if it goes over 70C real quick then there is a CPU heat dissipation problem, which would cause the fan to run like this i think that it is more of an issue that your CPU died...has your machine taken any kind of hit or fall that might have loosened things?...or perhaps the heat sink compound between the heatsink and CPU failed.....
but it also could be a dead MB
