Question about Dishwashers
The buttons on my Hotpoint SDW80 dishwasher are only occassionally working. They will work for a time every now and again but generally they do not respond when pressed. Could this be some sort of loose wiring issue?
On my hotpoint with the lcd screen I took the lcd section out and apart and the pad was sitting slightly out from the contact points so I cleaned it up and fixed back together and could not believe that it was that simple! it worked perfectly and has done since. Its not hard to do I promise. P.s I used to have to bang it to get the buttons to work!!

Sounds like the button pad has worn out and needs replacement. Generally the wires are spade lug units which don't come loose.
