Question about Kenmore 18 in. 14432 / 14439 Built-in Dishwasher
My dishwasher was not filling with enough water;I checked the screen at water inlet and cleared debris( city water repairs out on street turned off neighborhood water for repairs;left my shower, washer filters with sandy stuff.) But my dishwasher (and clothes washer) are still slow to fill with hot water. The timer ends before it is finished filling- heating element is not covered, so I reset it to fill it further. We had a new hot water heater installed ( to replace a 25 year old one!)and kitchen plumbing repairs- new garbage disposal also, after the street repairs. So my disshwasher was removed and re installed. The dishwasher also loses its scrubbing water sounds mid cycle and makes a sucking noise at the sink while cleaning. If you open and reclose the door, it starts scrubbing again. Any Ideas, suggestions of how to fix this - or what is going on?
When your dishwasher was reinstalled was the discharge hose loop up high behind dishwasher to prevent the water from draining? Also make sure that there is air gap where the hose ties into the drain.
