How do I connect my laptop into an existing LAN network?

Unless you have some security in place or messed with the adapter settings, plugging it into an Ethernet cable should be enough to get it connected.

Hot to connect wifi?

Wifi will only work if you connect to a network. First check at the bottom right hand of you screen for the symbol for network connections. You can run the mouse over all the different symbols until you find the right one. Now if your afapter is working correctly you will be able to choose to network connections and the choose net work connections. From there you can choose the correct connection name depending on what name your network is under. Then you will need a password that you can type in or use you existing modem to configure automatically. Now if you are connected and it still won't open the web page you will need to right click on the symbol when connected and choose repair connections and this usually fixes it. If you have any issues please feel free to contact me. Thanks Igor!!

I have a toshiba A305-S6905 notebook with an A/G/N wireless adapter, but won't connect to an 802.11n network

Check the information that came with the router or access point to find out what connection mode the device is set to. The mode should be either ad hoc (when devices communicate directly without going through a router or access point) or infrastructure (when devices communicate by going through a router or access point). Make sure the setting in Windows for this network matches the setting on the device. To check this, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Command Prompt window by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_47.png, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, and then clicking Command Prompt.

  2. Type netsh wlan add filter networktype=network type.

Where network type is either adhoc or infrastructure.

  3. The router or access point is busy.
  4. The network you are looking for is set to not broadcast its network name (SSID).
  5. Your network administrator is blocking access to certain networks.
  6. The wireless network adapter is in monitor mode. Was this helpful?

Wireless Connections keeps dropping and won't reconnect. The Adapter can see the network it simply won't connect.

Without knowing what wireless device/adapter is trying to connect and lacking the information regarding the router you're using, the following is the best I can do with the information you've provided. If this does not work, please repost your question the same as you have, but include the info for the adapter, PC, operating system, and router (or as much of this as you can track down).
If your adapter can see the network but will not connect, it is usually due to a wireless network key (wifi password) issue. Change your wireless router's network key encryption to something different. WEP is less secure than other encryption methods, however, it tends to be compatible with more adapters than any other method. If you're uncomfortable with using WEP (you may have no choice, but you'll have to mess around with it to see), then you could use standard WPA instead of WPA2.
While you're at it, please change the SSID(network name) to something else. You can even do something as simple as adding "1" to the end of it. The reason for this is because your wireless device will retain previous network security information for the original SSID and this will be easier than clearing all wireless network settings from each of your wireless devices.
Now that you have changed the wifi security settings in your router, you are now ready to try to connect to your "new" network. It's new because you changed the SSID. Search for networks and connect. It SHOULD ask you for the network key (or network password). If it does, PLEASE enter it exactly. Capitalization matters!
If this does not work, repeat the process. This time, choose another encryption method. Every other step should be exactly the same.
Again, if none of this works, re-post your question with as many details as possible (above) and I'll keep a look-out for your question. If this is helpful, please help me by leaving a great rating for this answer to your question. Thanks for using Fixya!

Dose not want to connect to the internet

If you mean it won't connect to the playstation network this is because playstation network suffered a security breach and will be down until they fix their network issues. They are already past their deadline so I am unsure when full network functionality is supposed to resume.

Install D- Link adapter

It's not generally possible to connect two computers directly via a network adapter.  You need a hub or router in between the two computers (you would connect a cable from each computer to the hub or router, and that equipment facilitates the connection between the two computers).  Alternatively, you would need a "crossover cable" to connect the two computers directly without a hub or router.
