Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t 14.1" Notebook Laptop PC (Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66 GHz, 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, D... PC Notebook
The laptop was dropped from about 2 feet. The screen went blank and at first thought it was a hard drive failure. When you turn it on now the screen has shady vertical lines and its VERY blurry. Can't make anything out on it. BUT, if you hook up an external monitor you can use the laptop no problem. I think it is the LCD monitor itself, model LP141WX1 (TL)(A2) but I was wondering if maybe I've overlooked something and it could be possible something else like the inverter. Thanks ahead of time for your help.. well im able to see everything clearly but occasionally when opening/closing the lid i get intermittent white lines running vertically and sometimes what appears to be a frozen white faded screen. It appears to me that the lcd is fine. what can it be?
Doubt that it's the inverter. Sounds more like one end of the LCD cable has been knocked loose. You might wan to check those.
Best of luck
