Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
I have purchased an hp deskjet f4235 I have windows vista o/s and when I try to install the printer software the following error message appears:
HP Installer Re-installation Plug as stopped working. I have tried turning off firewalls and virus programs , clearing temp folders and caches and so far nothing works. Please help :)
Uninstall "HP Director" and replace with "HP Solution Center" New Updates (especially IE 7) make this application incompatible. Ed

The issue usually occurs if you are using windows xp drivers on a vista machine. It's strange that the error does not come up when printing from internet explorer 7.0.
There is a file on support.dell.com that you can run to remove any xp drivers and then run the vista installation file. that should take care of these error messages from the operating system.

This issue is cause when the print spooler service isn't running, MFL pro installs the printer driver 1st (after paperport install) which will not wun if the service is disabled
