Question about Symbol PPT 2800 Portable Terminal
One of my 2800's is only throwing a scan beam about 1/2 inch wide. The others are much wider than this, which means that they are usable. Is there any way to adjust this errant scanner that doesn't involve sending it to Symbol and writing them a big check?
There is more than one way for that imager to send data to the computer. Are you using USB, serial, or is there a little box that goes between your existing keyboard and the PC that accepts the scanner connector?

It can read all standard symbologies apart from PDF symbologies unless it is equipped with an imager scan engine.

Warm boot the MC55 if that doesn't help then cold boot it, if that doesn't help then reload the Operating system, if that doesn't fix it then send it back to Motorola for a warranty repair.
