Hi, Recently the rollers on my Samsung CLP-300 started making a grinding sound. The area gets very hot and the printer refuses to print. Do the rollers need to be replaced and if so, are they available to order?
Mine is the same way, to solve this I elevated the bottum by 2 inches, then i kept it off, also i blow a fan on it while running.
also, you need to clean the filter (the gray "L" inside) black dust should come out.
lastly, mine actually broke because it overheated.

This is not a driver or Windows issue, has the ink cartridges been changed recently, it sounds like the the paper is not being magnetically charged before the ink, unplug the power cord for 30 sec plug back in and try printing again
Hi. Kelly, I think the issue is the due to paper pick-up roller. When the
rollers get dirty or worn-out, the printer fails to pick the paper,
which results in paper jam etc.. So, remove the paper tray and toner
cartridge and locate the paper pick up roller in the middle. Clean it
with damp (with luke-warm water) and lint-free cloth. I hope this would fix the issue. If the Roller is damaged or worn out, it needs to be replaced.
The grinding sound is usually caused when the toner cartridge gear is slipping with the one in the imaging unit. To troubleshoot, remove the toner cartridge and turn the gear by hand and check for binding. It should turn freely, if it doesn't there nothing you can do but to replace it when it gets empty. Another cause of the gear slipping, is that sometimes the cartridge contacts force it out of the socket so it does not seat properly. To fix, try pressing on the cartridge contacts with the back end of a pen a few times to see if that will free up the contacts.
If your printer get paper jams when it starts to pull the paper from the cassette. This is caused by a dirty paper pickup roller. If it is not too worn out, you can fix this by using a damp cloth and clean the roller. Hope this helps you.
This is a common problem with both this and the Xerox phaser 6110 (a rebadged Samsung) It is due to the pickup roller "tyre" that is the rubber roller that pulls the paper from the tray. It gets shiny and slips on the paper. The cure is to "rough up" the roller with some sand paper or emery cloth. The best way is to remove the imager unit and store it in a cupboard or a box IN THE DARK. This stops toner getting everywhere. Remove
the paper tray turn the printer on its side you will see the roller
underneath, using some sand paper or similar carefully rough up the
rubber roller all round. now put the machine back together and try printing it should be ok, if the problem persists try repeating the process.
The rollers at the exit area are worn out. They can be changed, in the mean time you can use something like sand paper to rub across the rollers to take the smoothness out of them. That will help them get a grip on the paper as it is exiting.
Probably worn gears for the rollers along the paper path or the gears that mesh with the imaging roller in the toner cartridge. Remove the toner cartridge and reseat it. Also look for any rounding of the gear teeth on any of the rollers while you have to cartridge out.
