    Hi darkseed67,

What is the make and model of the computer as well as what type of video card does it have (if it has one that is not integrated). I also am assuming that you are running windows XP right?

    Let me know. Thanks much

    Warm Regards

There is a problem with your Video Card.
If google the model and make for the display drivers.

You can check for the same by right clicking my computer - properties- hardware- Device manager and check under display adapter.

Games won't load and the format of my games have changed that all of the game does not show on the screen

Sound like video drivers might be missing and/or your resolution is changed.
First check your resolution. Right click on your desktop, select properties or screen resolution depending on what version of Windows you are running. We are now looking for something called Screen resolution or Screen Area. Change the numbers here either with the drop down box or slider bar. Higher the numbers the more screen area you have, so things appear clearer yet smaller. Try one, click apply and if you like it, continue on your way. If not, keep trying numbers until something looks right to you, click ok and you're done.
If you can't go any higher than it is already set to try the next solution below.

On your keyboard, push the Windows button (in between CTRL and ALT) and the PAUSE button at the same time. Now go into device manager and look for anything that stands out, usually a red x or yellow exclamation mark.
If nothing stands out, click the plus symbol beside "Graphic Adapters" and reply with the exact wording listed. Most likely will be something like Intel, Nvidia or Ati/AMD with some model numbers following.
Once you know who makes it and what model it is, you can do download the newest drivers from the manufactures website.

Reply with model and make if the above solutions did not solve your problem.

I have the above TV/Monitor - I have connected my laptop to it and can see the XP screen OK - the resolution is 640x 480 but it is too big - I cannot change the resolution using control...

1. you need to check for video graphics card updates/> find out what video card you have and go to the manufacturers site to see if there is an update for your video card.
2. If you right click on a blank part of your screen ( desktop) you will see a screen with a "settings tab" click and see if you can change the screen resolution there if not then you will have to go to the BIOS settings. this is done at the boot up screen > a selection menu at the top of the screen usually appears displaying F1, or F1 + another key to get in to the Bios ( basic input/output system)
3. you will have to see if you have the video card set to 640x480 here. If so select the proper resolution your video card can handle.

Recently reinstalled windows on my computer and I can not adjust the resolution for my monitor. Its only giving me 640X480 screen resolution. Did I not install somethimg correctly?

i am guessing that you installed windows 7. you didnt say. it sounds like the proper driver is missing for your monitor. you will have to first try to do all the updates from microsoft. after that then go to the manufacturer of the computer and look for video drivers that are compatible with windows 7. if nothing there then go to the site for the maker of your monitor and look for the drivers there.
not knowing the brand of computer or which windows product you installed, makes it hard to give you more info. but i think this will get you started. let us know how this goes.

Then am dowanload game then problam show video card gl not sport

Hello there.
It seems like your video card doesn't support Open GL technology. Try to change video settings inside game, but it seems like you can not play that game.

I hope I was helpfull.

Videos play on the Vivitar camera o.k. but when downloading to lap top the reults are poor

That's because it's playing in a much higher resolution than it was recorded in. for example. your camera my record in 640x480 resolution which is ok when played on a small screen, but when you play it on your laptop which may have a resolution of 1024x768 or higher the video will look grainy or pixelated. that is the reason. You may be able to change the resolution in which your camera records video, the higher the resolution the better. If not then your stuck with it the way it is. Hope this helps

The margins are too large for the computer screen, this became a recent change when switched over. I am on a dell computer and have not had this situation before. Thanks

hi this sounds like your resolution has set back to a smaller setting, ie 640x480 or something in that region, you need to right click on your screen anywhere apart from an icon, go to properties, then settings , look for the resolution setting and change it to a higher one, that should do the trick, dont forget to save the settings or it will revert back to the older one again hope this helps if not repost and i will see if there are other things ok..cheers

My screen resolution wont go above 640 480 pixels,16 colors, and it wont go any higher, and the monitor is set on default and wont change, and i cant change the display settings because nothing will...

This could take for ever .. So check your card.. it rules how big your monitor will go.
you can set it to 1024 by 1024 but if the card is only good for 640 by 480 thats as far as you can go..look up the specs on your video card...
