Question about Toshiba 53H71 53 in. Rear Projection Television

43 inch rear projection

I have 43 inch vj33 toshiba rera projectuion tv and recently it keeps going red with wavy lines , sometimes after not long watching sometimes after hours , its completly red cant see any picture , ican turn off the tv and its back to normal but sometimes its still red when i turn it back on . Any ideas ? is it a dear problem to get fixed ? thanks .

well im sorry if this doesn't really help much, **im only 16 after all** but your tv is a projection tv so if im right it might be that one of the bulbs in it is wearing out or if not the housing for the bulb might me wearing out

Wavy lines


This TV uses small voltage regulators. On each side of the regulators is the input voltage and the regulated output voltage on the other side. There are capacitors used for stabilization on the input and output. Change these capacitors.
